LDWF vendors no longer sell deer and turkey tags on waterproof paper—only regular paper tags are available.

If you are using paper tags, we recommend the following methods to protect them:

• Place the tag in a snack-size zip-top bag and secure it to the animal using zip ties.
• Attach the paper tag directly to the animal and cover it with packing tape to protect it from moisture.

These steps will help ensure your tags remain legible and intact throughout the hunting process.
