LDWF License Revocation
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) can revoke, suspend, or invalidate your license(s) for various reasons, including the following:
- Wildlife violations
- Unpaid fines
- Delinquent taxes
- Unpaid child support.
The process is managed through court orders or administrative action, and formal procedures exist for notification and appeal. To get your license back valid:
- For a citation and access/purchase your LDWF license: contact LDWF Headquarters at (225)765-2887 to receive more details as to what you owe or what it is for so that you can get the revocation removed.
- For taxes and access/purchase your LDWF license: contact the Louisiana Department of Revenue at (225)219-7448. You will need to have them send a Clearance letter dated within the last 6 months to LDWF Headquarters to remove this.
- For unpaid child support and access/purchase your LDWF license: contact the Office of Family Support at 1-888-524-3578. You will need to have them send a Letter of Compliance, listing your case number to inactivate your block.
If you already possess the clearance or compliance letter for delinquent taxes or unpaid child support, please contact LDWF Headquarters at (225)765-2887 to get the revocation removed.
