If your LDWF license or LA Wallet app shows Restricted, this means either you've never completed an Hunter Education course or your Hunter Education Certification is not available on the LDWF account that you used to purchase your LDWF license.

• If you've never successfully complete a Hunter Education course, you can find more information on finding and completing one HERE.
• If you're certain you've completed an LDWF-approved Hunter Education course in Louisiana, please contact the LDWF Support Team at (225)267-9996 for assistance with finding your certification.
• If you're completed a Hunter Education course in a different state, please email HunterEducation@wlf.la.gov with your name, LDWF number, and a copy of your Hunter Education certificate to have it added to your LDWF account.
• To apply for a Military and Law Enforcement Exemption, complete the following steps:
  • Download and complete the Military and Law Enforcement Exemption Form

  • Submit via:

    • Email: HunterEducation@wlf.la.gov

    • Mail:  LDWF Education Program
      PO Box 98000, Baton Rouge, LA 70898
      Note: This exemption is valid only in Louisiana.
