Boat registrations in Louisiana are valid for three years from the date they are issued.

Important Renewal Information

• The expiration date is printed on your registration certificate.
• You must renew your boat registration within 60 days of the expiration date.
  • If you do not renew within this period, your registration will be canceled.
• LDWF will send a renewal notice by mail as a reminder.

How to Renew

You can renew your boat registration online at boat.wlf.la.gov.

You can renew your boat registration at LDWF Headquarters at 2000 Quail Drive in Baton Rouge during normal business hours, 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. You can also download an application and submit it via mail. You can access the application HERE.
